Search Engines are blind like a Mole - Quick Rules for OnPage Optimization.
45Rules
"Treat the Search Engines like a blind mole."
Rules:
- Tell it where it has to go
- Tell it what it would see if it could see and don't let it crawl too long distances on your site from any entry page.
- Make as many category subpages accessible from every page as possible
- Try to make every page accessible with 2 clicks for a user (in my theory no user has more clicks loaded in his weapon)
- Use

for creating link blocks. That's the most succesful cluster.
- Loading speed has grown to one of the most important factors.
- async load your javascript
- do not use too much (ie. Ads, Clickcounter, fluffy graphics loader and so on) this will easily
triple the page size and loading time
Fazit
Always try thinking as someone who has to build a search engine who has to handle billions of pages which has no colors or media, just simple text and links.
